In a show of solidarity and support, the Federal Law Enforcement Officer Association Foundation, through the engagement of the Coast Guard Investigative Service, made financial contributions to the families of the four Air Force Office of Special Investigations Airmen killed in the suicide bomber attack near Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan Dec. 21.

The FLEOA Foundation donated $1,000 checks to the families of each of the four Fallen OSI Special Agents.

"CGIS and the FLEOA Foundation were among the first to reach out to us to offer their condolences and support in the wake of the Dec. 21 tragedy," said Mr. Jeffrey Specht, OSI executive director. "On behalf of the entire OSI command, I am eternally grateful for their quick action and generous support."

Prior to the Memorial Service honoring the Fallen Airmen at the U.S. Marine Memorial Chapel here Jan. 7, the checks were presented to Brig. Gen. Keith M. Givens, OSI commander by Mr. Jason Wimer, Special Agent in Charge of the CGIS Washington Field Office and the CGIS Agency President for FLEOA, and Michael Berkow, Director of CGIS.

The checks will be provided to the families via their OSI Family Assistance Representatives.
