CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT KAREN F. BEIRNE-FLINT

Chief Master Sergeant Karen F. Beirne-Flint is the 16th Command Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) headquartered at Quantico Marine Ground Installation, Virginia. AFOSI is a federal law enforcement agency with responsibility for conducting criminal investigations, counterintelligence and specialized investigative activities, protective service operations and integrated force protection for the Air Force. AFOSI is also a combat-ready military criminal investigative organization that provides the Air Force a wartime capability with counterintelligence support to force protection to find, fix, track and neutralize enemy threats in hostile and uncertain environments. She serves as the senior advisor to the commander on matters concerning force utilization, readiness, training, career progression and quality of life for over 2,000 enlisted, officer and civilian Airmen assigned to major Air Force installations and a variety of operating locations worldwide.

 

CMSgt Beirne-Flint was born and raised in Bloomingdale, New Jersey. She graduated from Butler High School in 1988 and entered the Air Force in February 1993. She completed technical training as an information management specialist at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., in May 1993. Her background includes various duties in information management and information technology at the unit level. She also had an opportunity to educate the Air Force’s newest supervisors as an Airman Leadership School instructor. Her assignments include bases in North Dakota, Alaska, Maryland, Texas and Colorado. She also served overseas in Turkey and Qatar.

 

Prior to assuming her current position, she was dual-hatted as the Superintendent, AFOSI 7th Field Investigations Region, Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland and the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Investigations Operations Collections Nexus, Quantico, Va.
