PEARL S. MUNDT

Pearl S. Mundt, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Executive Director, Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), headquartered in Quantico, Va. In this role, her responsibilities include strategic engagement, enterprise and headquarters management, the development and integration of cyber and other command priorities, and oversight of the Special Investigations Career Program.


Prior to her appointment to the Senior Executive Service, Ms. Mundt served as the Executive Director, AFOSI Investigations, Collections, Operations, Nexus Center, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., where she was the principal advisor to AFOSI and Department of the Air Force leadership on all global law enforcement, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, specialized investigative activities, and integrated force protection operations for the Department.


A career Special Agent with AFOSI, Ms. Mundt directed and led law enforcement and counterintelligence investigations and operations at every Air Force level. Some of the roles included a deployment in Iraq, Deputy Director of an AFOSI wing, and Deputy Director, Office of Security and Counterintelligence, National Reconnaissance Office, Chantilly, Va. While assigned at the NRO, she was responsible for the organization’s security and counterintelligence programs including personnel security, program security, physical and technical security, counterintelligence, and insider threat.
