TIG and DIG visit new AFOSI headquarters at Marine Corps Base Quantico

Lt. Gen. Marc E. Rogers, The Inspector General for the Air Force and Maj. Gen. Harold L. Mitchell, Deputy Inspector General of the Air Force, visited the new Air Force Office of Special Investigations headquarters at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., for the first time June 9.

The two generals received a special tour which ended in the state-of-the-art, OSI commander's conference room. In the conference room, they were briefed on OSI efficiencies, cyber operations and organizational development. The TIG said he was "very impressed" with what he saw during his tour.

At the end of the tour, General Rogers presented the Legion of Merit Medal to General Jacobsen for his accomplishments while serving as the director of the Special Investigations Directorate in Washington, D.C.

AFOSI headquarters is co-located with four other federal investigative agencies in the new Russell-Knox building. The new building is also designed to house elements of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Defense Security Service, Naval Criminal Investigative Services and the Army Criminal Investigation Command.
