Welcome ashore Dallas
The U.S. Coast Guard cutter Dallas visits the port of Izmir, Turkey. The Dallas was returning from a Black Sea tour where it delivered humanitarian assistance to Georgia. Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Detachment 523 coordinated with the Turkish National Police to arrange appropriate Force Protection measures including a local threat briefing to the ship's captain and his senior staff. AFOSI Det. 523 supports numerous U.S. ships attached to the U.S. Navy 6th Fleet during visits to Turkish ports.
