In an organization where excellence is the norm, the Air Force Office of Special Investigations made another stellar impression at the national level.

Fresh off its impressive showing at the National Counterintelligence and Security Awards competition earlier this year, AFOSI garnered an eyebrow-raising eight awards during the 2014 Department of Defense Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence Awards competition.

"The significance of these awards cannot be understated as our personnel faced stiff competition from all the DoD's intelligence community components," wrote Brig. Gen. Keith M. Givens, AFOSI Commander, in a congratulatory email Aug. 4 to Team OSI. "To win one award is truly an achievement, but as a command, we took more than a quarter of the awards!

"Congratulations to the individuals and teams for their exceptional accomplishments in these categories:"

CI Investigations Team Award

CI Technologies Team Award

CI Technologies Individual Award

CI Analysis and Production Team Award

CI Functional Services Team Award

CI Functional Services Individual Award

CI TSCM Individual Award

CI Credibility Assessment Individual Award

"Once again our award winners have proven why OSI has a reputation for excellence," Givens said.
