QUANTICO, Va. -- 2015 was a year the Air Force Office of Special Investigations not only served the Air Force with distinction, but the Department of Defense as well.
AFOSI earned a half-dozen awards during the 2015 Department of Defense Counterintelligence (CI) and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Awards competition.
“The significance of these awards cannot be understated as our personnel competed against more than 1,000 CI and HUMINT professionals from across the four military services, unified commands and two agencies,” wrote Brig. Gen. Keith M. Givens, AFOSI Commander, in a congratulatory email Sept. 11, 2016, to Team OSI. “To win one award is truly an achievement, but as a command, we took six, including half of the individual awards!”
“Congratulations to the individuals and teams for their exceptional accomplishments in these categories:”
CI Technologies Team Award
CI Technologies Individual Award
CI Collections Individual Award
Offensive CI Operations Individual Award
CI TSCM Functional Services Individual Award
CI Credibility Assessment Individual Award
“This prominent DoD-level recognition once again demonstrates how our award winners safeguard our national security and why OSI has a reputation for excellence,” Givens said.
