Special Agent Robert Binns, Air Force Office of Special Investigations Detachment 531 superintendent, received a Bronze Star Medal at Aviano Air Base, Italy on Dec. 5, 2016. Binns earned the medal because of his meritorious service while engaged in operations against an opposing force in Afghanistan from Dec. 7, 2012, to Dec. 10, 2013.
