    Twenty years ago, on Oct. 1, 2002, the Air Force Special Investigations Academy began operations at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, in Glynco, Georgia. The history of the academy dates back to Jan. 24, 1949, at the District of Columbia National Guard Armory.

    Since 1996, the Mansfield Fellowship Program has placed U.S. government officials in Japanese government agencies in accordance with federal law. And now, for the first time, the Office of Special Investigations has a special agent among the Fellowship ranks.

  • Keeping legacies alive long after their final flight

    A cleanup event was held where volunteers, including members of Office of Special Investigations Region 2 OL-B, washed an F-100F Super Sabre display and cleared debris from the area as part of the 355th Wing’s new Aircraft Adoption Program at Heritage Park, Sept. 9, 2022.

  • Airman jailed 4 and a half years for sexual assault

    Following an investigation by OSI Detachment 512, an Airman was sentenced to 54 months in prison for sexual assault. The subject was also found guilty of abusive sexual contact, assault consummated by battery and false statements to an official, court documents show.

  • IACP lauds SA duo

    IACP announced it’s 2022 40 Under 40 Award went to OSI SAs Devin Payne and Alexander Perkins. This IACP award program recognizes 40 law enforcement professionals under the age of 40 from around the world that demonstrate leadership and exemplify commitment to their profession.
