AFOSI Det 340 part of joint agency bust of historical TRICARE scam

On Sept. 30, 2019, Military.com reported on the investigation of the biggest TRICARE scam in history.

The Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Office of Special Projects supported this investigation.

As the Milliary.Com article reported, this very complex joint investigation initially opened in 2014. Several federal law enforcement agencies investigated this notable TRICARE scam. 

“The Air Force Office of Special Investigations Detachment 340, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. assisted investigators from the FBI, the Defense Criminal Investigative Service and Health and Human Services which contributed greatly to uncovering this huge scam”, said Special Agent William C. Glidewell, Superintendent, AFOSI Office of Special Projects, Joint Base Anacostia, Bolling, D.C.
