In 1962, these Air Force pilots from the 45th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron were among the first to operate out of Don Muang Airfield, Bangkok, Thailand. OSI District 51 was later established to protect the Airmen, the airfield and these operations. The base is still active and is now known as the Don Muang Royal Thai Air Force Base.
